An exhibition of The Wake, the series of sixteen unstretched canvases, painted in 1958 and based on a poem by John Caselberg. These paintings were later sent on tour by the Adult Education Department of the University of Cantebury, and shown in Timaru, Dunedin, Greymouth and Nelson during the middle months of 1959 and in Auckland in 1960.
